Web app development: dashboards, admin panels, portals and fast marketing sites
ODEL builds web apps for founders and small businesses: customer portals, admin dashboards, internal tools, booking and quoting tools, and fast multilingual marketing sites. The stack is React with Vite or Next.js on the front, Node.js and PostgreSQL on the back, and Astro for content sites. You work with the developer who builds it, from a discovery call and written scope to clickable screens, a staging site you can log into at each milestone, and launch on hosting in your name. You own the code, the database and the domain. Proof: the Appalize web platform (React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Stripe), the DishBook admin panel built on Next.js and Supabase and its Next.js landing site with translations, and odel.dev itself, an Astro site in 12 languages that lists every app ODEL runs.
Who it is for
- Small businesses that need a portal or tool their customers use in a browser
- Mobile app owners who need an admin panel, content tool or support dashboard
- Companies replacing spreadsheets and email threads with one internal tool
- Founders who need a fast, multilingual marketing site that AI assistants and search engines can read
When we are not the right fit
- A brochure site you want to edit yourself every week: Webflow, Squarespace or WordPress may suit you better
- Online shops: Shopify or a similar platform is usually cheaper and safer than custom
- Large enterprise portals with SSO, procurement and many integrations on fixed short deadlines
What you get
- Written scope and fixed quote or phased plan
- Clickable screens for the main flows
- Web app in React with a Node.js API and PostgreSQL, or a static Astro site
- Login, roles and account deletion where needed
- Admin views for your team
- Multilingual pages and structured data where it helps search
- Deployment to hosting in your account, with a staging copy
- Source code in your repository and handover notes

- 03
Build on staging
Each milestone is live on a staging address you can test.
- 04

Questions about working with us
Does my small business need an app or is a website enough?
Often a fast mobile website is enough. An app earns its place when customers use it repeatedly (bookings, loyalty, tracking), need notifications, or need phone features like the camera or offline use. Clutch's report on small-business apps advises not building one just because competitors have one. ODEL will tell you on the first call if a website or an existing tool is the better buy.
How much does a custom web app cost?
It depends on the number of user roles and workflows, integrations, payments and design. ODEL quotes after a discovery call. Vendor blogs in 2026 put a simple SaaS-style web app at 5,000 to 25,000 USD and up offshore, and 30,000 to 75,000 USD from US, UK or Australian firms (Prioxis, a vendor estimate).
Can you build the admin panel for my existing mobile app?
Yes, if the app's backend is reachable through an API or a database we can connect to. ODEL built the DishBook admin panel on Next.js and Supabase next to its mobile app and API.
How long does it take?
From a few weeks for a marketing site to a few months for a portal with roles and payments. Vendor estimates in 2026 put a thin-slice web MVP at about 8 to 10 weeks (Teamseven). The written scope gives your timeline.
Who owns the app, the source code and the developer accounts?
You do. The app is published under your own Apple and Google developer accounts, the repository is yours, and the written agreement assigns the code and design to you; under US law, for example, a contractor owns the code by default unless there is a written assignment, so ask for that clause from anyone you hire. ODEL is added to your accounts as a team member and can be removed at any time.
